Celebrating The King of Pop

Michael Jackson Salute 09Like millions of others throughout the world, Canadian dance teacher/choreographer, Durline Dunham Melanson, was saddened by Michael Jackson’s untimely death and wanted to celebrate his life.

Having grown up with the Jackson 5, and been inspired by Michael’s style and precision dance moves, Durline decided to choreograph a special dance to honour his contributions to this art form  ~ incredible dance steps (as only he could do) and an abundance of terrific music.

Director of the Trans World Dance Company, Melanson unveiled the new dance during a Salute to The King of Pop on July 2, in Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia, during the Dancing At the Market event. Students danced to “Man in the Mirror” and “Blame It On The Boogie”. The event will be repeated at the next Dancing At The Market event at 7 p.m. on July 16.

If you remember Jackson’s early years, appreciate his Spin Turns and Moonwalk, or if you are interested in history and the evolution of dance, join us in this special tribute. For your complimentary copy of the dance, click on Michael Jackson ~ The King of Pop

Cherish each day ~ and dance as though no one is watching you!

Thanks for taking time to send such a nice comment, Rhonda. I’m happy you enjoyed our Dance Tribute to the King of Pop. MJ was an extraordinary entertainer who is missed more than he could have ever imagined. There is beautiful music in heaven. Best wishes to you, and thanks again.
